Human evolution has made great strides, yet when it comes to minor illnesses, signs of fear and hidden, it is easy to hope that a bottle of elixir is the solution to the problem. Fall for all first or later. Some fall for it again and again. The entire advertising landscape of cosmetics is the reincarnation of that vendor that promised a cure for back pain, headache, toothache, acne, bloating, heartburn, so on and so forth ... all in a single, magical elixir. We all want to believe those comforting little lies. Part of the success of the elixir (and advertising) is the fact that whoever buys it is enhanced because he believes in the promised result.
